The crazy gamer point rate has sucked all the fun out of the game. It seems impossible to get a good streak running without synching right now.
Edit: I was talking about Costume Brawl, of course.
WTB: a plain old fun festival game with no title award or any other motivation for synching.

PvP farming is under way apparently. CB is no fun because of syncing .

Maybe I'm lucky, or you're all lying through your teeth. I haven't faced 1 notable synced team. I've went from 600 gamer to 2121 just off some lucky random PuG teams.
I'm not playing it for gamer, it's just extra, I play for faction and tot bags ^^.

I havent noticed ANY synced teams. Noting that I went to 499 to 1,027 points. Just with some really good pugs.
/signed for the idea . Less grind ftw ^^!

/signed, its just a fun title and the new system actually rewards good plays as well.
i synced 10 games with friends, and ye syncing is a bit lame, easy wins. i can easily imagine a good team can get 50+ wins this way. Sadly, but true. The only way to solve this is to make less crowded areas mix up with other parts of the game (for example, people syncing in asia districts are mixed up with people from europe/america to create a bigger player pool, thus less chance of a successfull sync)
my highest was 45 when i played war and had to go [sweet sweet parents]. it was a random team and lots of fun. you see people trying to communicate on splits and taking initiatives, it easily tells who is experienced and who is not.
I dont think you should put any value to the title besides the fun factor. If you want to get it just for HoM, well r3 isn't that far with the new point system (assuming you can play a bit and point system affects all events)

Same. I went from no skillz title to r2 since yesterday, and I'd be well on my way to r3 if I wasn't working today. Tomorrow I'll likely hit it hard and walk away with some mad faction, tot bags, and a ton of gamer points to boot. Sync teams are no match for good play, and that requires total team cohesion. God help us if 5 people manage to sync in on vent. They could play the week through if they didn't have to eat, work, or use the crapper.
So far I've played with a bunch of lousy teams, but then every so often I get a team that's willing to do some common sense things like not split off to fight a team of 4, run away from a pitched battle to chase someone leaving their team to die, actually KNOW how friggin' important the battle cry shrine is, and KNOW that kills win the game and can actually follow calls. All really day one, page one, paragraph one, line one kind of general skills. All you need is the basics and coordinated movement, and if they've ever seen the compass before it's not asking a lot.

Well, many of the games Ive played in have involved at least 2 from the same guild on one side or the other.
I have just finished a 25 win run with an excellent pug group - we were going well until we met a team consisting of 4 people from the Keys Guild +1 other that may or may not have known them, so yes, there are syncers - I personally think its unfair but Im not anet.

Synced groups aren't too much of a threat to be honest. It's more likely they want to play with each other in the event rather than farm gamer. There is no best build here, strategy is as likely to fail on their side as it is on yours.
I've gone to 40+ wins without any syncing, there may have been some guys on my teams that were in vent.. which I doubt that as they would've just pinged vent.
I do wish they put a pause in there, when nature calls it can get uncomfortable

I agree syncing is SOMEWHAT on the lame side as it SOMEWHAT violates the spirit of the event, but I'm a die-hard defender of the bible according to Sirlin which pretty much says: if you're allowed to do something that's going to increase your chances of winning then you're only cheating yourself if you don't do it.
So, do you want to be a lamer or a loser? Not a great choice. Personally I'd vote for doing something to make syncing much harder. Since I'd bet my left nut that's not about to happen, fundamentally I can't condemn people for gaming the system to win more. If I felt I had to, or really intended to farm as many points as I possibly could, I'd be doing the same thing.
Meh. If I wasn't having more fun than I've had in months I'd probably muster up some more righteous fury.

syncing will be there, but i haven't really come across any synced full teams in CB yet. and until 8 of 10 matches are synced teams i don't see it as a problem.
As well, come on who doesn't like syncing dragon arena with a friend or two or three. haha.

Not true really. I have gone on 35 win streaks with a completely random team.
You just need to find the build you're best at using, and hope for as few idiots as possible on your team.

People on these forums REALLY need to stop overexaggerating on the syncing "problem." It is not as common as everybody thinks, and every time some people lose, they just assume, "oh they must be a sync." No one wants to admit they aren't the most awesome player every and sometimes they just lose to a better team.
Really, this is just like Snowball fights. You lose again and again and again until you get a team with the majority of the players know what they are doing (you could usually drag one guy worth of dead weight through snowball) and then win 10-15 games in a row every time unless you face another good quality team (and then, by definition, somebody HAS to lose).
Just because somebody wins a lot of games in a row doesn't mean they sync, it just means that they finally randomlly got placed with a team that knows what they are doing.
If you NEVER seem to get 10+ win streaks in event games... then you are probablly the guy who is dragging the team down (and thus why your team never has a majority of compitient players0.

I like the new system of getting more Gamer points for consecutive victories. If they're doing it in Costume Brawl, I'll expect to see it in the other festival games as well.
Only thing I'm disappointed about it is that it rewards syncers and people that have large blocks of time to burn, but I can ignore that in favor of less grind and bigger numbers.
